Abstract :  In the present study the effectiveness of fly ash based Geopolymer mortar, a type of amorphous alumino-silicate cementitous material, has been examined. The geopolymer mortar is prepared with Indian Fly ash mixed with alkali activator fluid of sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) and sodium hydroxide (NaoH) with Zone-III sand. Different geopolymer mortar samples are prepared by varying the fluid to fly ash ratio, and also by varying the concentration of activator fluid. The cube compressive strength has been tested at the ages of 3 days, 7 days, and 28 days. The test results as well as the effect of different parameters are studied and reported. Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy images has been observed at different spots of two specified specimens.
