Abstract :  The influence of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) on the mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) is presented in this study. The SCM and/or fine filler materials used in this study are lime stone powder (LSP) and silpozz. The effect of 5-20% partial replacement of cement with LSPand with silpozzarestudied. The M30 grade concrete mix were prepared using a cement: sand: aggregateproportionof 1:1.44:2.91. Nine concrete mixes with a constant w/c ratio i.e. 0.43. The fresh concrete tests such as slump flow, T500, J-ring, V-funnel and L-box tests were conducted for each concrete mix. The hardened concrete properties such as compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength test were determined at 7 and 28 days of curing. The results indicate that, in concrete mixes with LSP, increases the workability in the addition of a constant amount of super plasticizers (SP) i.e. 0.35%. Whereas in concrete mixes with silpozzdecreases the workability. The experimental results indicate that the replacement of ordinary Portland cement with silpozzimproves the compressive, flexural and split tensile strength as compred to a similar replacent with LSP. Inconcrete with LSP,the compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength increaseupto certain limit of replacement, beyond which the compressive, flexural and split tensile strength decrease with further replacement of OPC with LSP.
