Abstract :  In spite of growing awareness about fire safety incidents of major fire breakout do happen in residential and non residential buildings. One of the important aspects after such incidents has been to assess the structural damages and rehabilitate the building. The subject has invoked larger interest of structural engineers also and the challenges it offers, especially, when a part portion or one of the floor of multi storied building is damaged and building is required to be restored safely in shortest possible time.
