Abstract : In this study, the mechanical properties of locally made rubberized concrete are investigated experimentally. Chipped rubber from scrap tyres of Indian automobiles were used as partial replacement for coarse aggregate at 15% and 20% proportions. M-25 grade concrete design mix was chosen for making test samples. Cubic specimens (150mm x 150mm x 150mm) were tested by compression testing machine after 7 days and 28 days curing.
