Abstract : This paper outlines the methodology for designing a low density and high strength canoe using ferrocement incorporating water crystal beads. Compared to reinforced concrete, ferrocement is cheaper, lighter, requires no formwork, has higher crack resistance and ten times greater specific surface of reinforcement.
