Abstract :  Various strengthening techniques, such as cement grout, epoxy injection, ferrocement layer, and section enlargement have been used for the repair of distressed concrete slabs. This paper presents the details of the experimental work carried out to investigate the effect of reinforcement corrosion on the load carrying capacity of RC slabs strengthened with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP). To accelerate corrosion in RC slabs, impressed current technique was adopted. Behaviour of specimens at different levels of corrosion was studied. Various patterns of application of carbon fiber sheets for RC slabs were evaluated.
