Abstract : Pace of change in all walks of life has never been greater. Changing work patterns, technologies, changing demographics etc all putting ever-changing demand on buildings. It is inevitable to adopt new construction techniques so that it would minimise their redundancy and subsequent demolition. Construction systems are the ways in which materials are combined to construct the elements of a building. They can be classified according to the mass of the system into heavyweight and lightweight construction. The objective of this paper is to explore the opportunity, possibility and feasibility of LSF Construction in Indian context.
