Abstract : Heating and cooling load of a building depends upon building details and the climate conditions of the place. In this study, heating degree hours (HDH) and cooling degree hours (CDH) for different climatic conditions of India, have been determined. A total of 10 stations, from different climatic zone, have been included in the analysis. As different buildings have different base temperatures, so HDH and CDH are computed as function of base temperature. By doing regression analysis, analytical expressions between degree hours and base temperatures, for different locations have also been found.
