ICI Web site – Student Chapters
1.Formation
 
Any educational institute having more than 50 students in Civil and allied engineering branches can request the Chairman of the nearby center of the ICI or the Vice President of the region/President/Secretary General at the Headquarters the intention to open a student’s chapter. The Institute should satisfy the following conditions (under reconsideration for relaxation):
The Institute shall become an Organisational member of ICI or at least four faculty members shall be members of ICI.
At least 50 % of the students subject to a minimum of 30 shall become student members.

Student chapters should organize atleast one technical event per year.
Student chapters as of 24th March 2008 :
 
  • Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai (T.N.Centre)
  • Adhi Parasakthi College of Engineering, Melmaruvattur (T.N.Centre)
  • Allahabad Agricultural Institute – Deemed University Allahabad (U P Allahabad Centre)
 

2. Fees
 

Annual fee per year (April to March): Rs. 250. No entrance fee.

3. Benefits to students from membership
 
They get ICI Journal published quarterly. The Journal contains peer-reviewed technical papers, technical reports from other publications, events (past and forthcoming, national and international) and other useful details. Material from the Journal may be useful to the students in their project work and technical presentations.
Concessional fees for registering in Workshops/Seminars/Conferences organized by ICI and sister Institutes.
Networking with Experts and Stalwarts in the field of Concrete.
A sum at the rate of Rs. 100 per student will be reimbursed to the student chapters if at least two technical events are organized in a year.
